In an ongoing desire to promote Serbian culture worldwide and introduce the world to a nation\u2019s cinematography with not only a rich historical background but also with very positive and steadily advancing outlook, Intermedia Network came to the idea to hold yet another Serbian film festival in a country with very similar current standpoints, South Africa. In a time that is hard on everyone at every corner of the world \u2013 Serbia relentlessly invests in its filmmakers understanding the most important lesson of the profession \u2013 if the audience sits and listens, the opportunity to not only send out a message but to teach a lesson is only a grasp away. In a fast paced era when sitting and listening is hardly achievable, once succeeding in this goal, the chance of conveying a concept should not be missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Film fans in Johannesburg saw for themselves that Serbia rightfully belongs to international film community and were given the opportunity to see the work of directors from different generations and quite different perspectives. This, as a method of communication, was and continues to be the intent of the organizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was held under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Pretoria and the Serbian Arts and Culture Society of Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n
